Gray's Daily GrindADAMSVILLE — In an old room where corn was once shelled at Gray’s Grist Mill, customers may now stop by for coffee, tea, pastries and more.
Mary Miska, a former graphics artist for the Providence Journal, co-owns the new venture with Gray’s Grist Mill owner Ralph Guild. They call it Gray’s Daily Grind and hope customers will appreciate the combination of scenery, history and flavors. In the heart of ‘downtown Adamsville,’ the coffee and tea shop sits just on the Westport side of the state line. “We think we have a beautiful setting and a delicious product,” she said.
Renovations to the old room were cosmetic — the structure is unchanged.
“We have left many of the original features of the room intact and have included some interesting touches like grain bag window treatments and antique coffee grinder and percolators.”
Local flavors fill the shop’s menu.
